The best way to promote sustainable, eco-friendly travel? Leading by example.

For “High Values and High Value” travelers—people who travel consciously and view luxury and wellness as two sides of the same coin—Los Cabos is a perfect fit. But this highly educated audience is extremely sensitive to “greenwashing,” so the destination can’t just talk about sustainability; they have to show it.
In the spirit of the campaign, we were determined to produce a piece that didn’t just tell the Los Cabos story, but did so while minimizing our impact on the destination and its resources. A typical production like this emits close to 20 tons of CO2 — the equivalent of one family’s usage in three years. In comparison, our production saw a 40% reduction in the average use of natural resources.
We sourced sustainable wardrobe options through rentals and purchases from local garment makers using sustainable fabrics and dyes (bye-bye fast fashion). We partnered with a craft services vendor to source local, organic, slow-food options instead of packaged meals and snacks. We eliminated single-use plastics and waste whenever possible and used solar charging devices, among other measures.
A contracted representative from CERCA (Centro de Energía Renovable y Calidad Ambiental) to measure our carbon footprint and sustainable efforts on set, including: food waste, sustainable wardrobe & props, water usage, plastic waste, and more.
